about

Rapid Randy fell in love with the girl next door, literally!
She worked at the local mall and she made several appearances in songs but "Lose That Dude" and "Marilyn" tell the story of how she was in a serious relationship with one of his best friends. So, he wrote her songs instead of making a move. Once they broke up, he brought her the demos for her to hear. She wasn't that impressed and it would be many years later before they shared their one and only kiss. She's now happily married.

lyrics

Marilyn, would you like to spend the night?
I think we could be more than friends.
I barely know you but I want you to know that when I see you in the mall you really turn me on.

So whatcha say? Please don't walk away.
There are consequences that we'd have to pay.
That's the chance I'll take sweet Marilyn.
When it gets late we can park under the interstate.
When it gets late we can park just about any place.
On the hood of my car we can look up at the stars and have our way, yea.
If we talked all day what would we say?
Why don't we take all of our clothes off right away?
I cannot wait until I'm wrapped up in your curvy legs.

My hands are shaking. My nerves are breaking.
I fell for a girl who was already taken. I'm taken too but what can I do?
It can't be wrong if we tell them it's through.

It's 11 O'Clock in the morning.
I'm stuck in my room writing this tune thinking of you.
I think I know what we would do when we're together.
You'd quit your job, move out of your mom's, and run away forever.
